Privacy policy
Berthbell is run by Ramith K S, Bengaluru, Karnataka, India as an individual. Contact: ramithgowdakundoor123@gmail.com. Berthbell is an invite-only pilot for freight forwarders.
What we store
- Account details the owner enters for your team: name, work email, company name.
- Shipment data you upload or type: references, ship names, ports, ETAs, customer names.
- Customer contact details you save (contact person, email, WhatsApp number, notes) so you can send them updates.
- A log of updates sent from Berthbell: time, channel, recipient, message text and status.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
- We do not show your data to other customers. Each forwarder is a separate workspace.
- We do not send anything to your customers without you tapping Send after a preview.
Who processes it
Data is stored on Cloudflare (Workers and D1). Emails you send are delivered through Brevo. When you choose WhatsApp, the message opens in your own WhatsApp and is sent by you, not by Berthbell.
Cookies
Berthbell sets one essential sign-in cookie for signed-in users. There are no advertising or tracking cookies and no third-party analytics scripts in the app.
Keeping and deleting data
Your data stays while your workspace is active. Email ramithgowdakundoor123@gmail.com to get a copy or to have your workspace and its records deleted. Backups are removed on the next backup cycle.
Customer contacts you add
You are responsible for having a reason to contact the people you save, and for their messages being work updates about their shipments.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will email the workspace owner first.
